In my opinion, philosophy is as vital as a guiding star for a sailor to know his direction in the vast and dangerous sea. Being a future teacher, i have my own teaching philosophy. That is, to be like the star which can shine and guide my students to a brighter future.
Shining~
I believe there is always a potential within every student. Regardless of who, what or where they come from. I will help students to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. Students nowadays have early exposure to many information and knowledge due to the rapid and vast development of multimedia such as Internet. For this reason, students have created their own prior knowledge about everything that he/she had seen or heard, no matter is right or wrong. As a future teacher, we are no longer embedding and introducing knowledge to our students, but 'building' right and scientific knowledge in them by correcting their misconception and proven theories. Besides making the lesson in classroom more interesting and interactive, I believe this teaching method will be more effective in enhancing our future education.
Guiding~
As a future teacher, i want to try my best to be a role model for the students. For me, a teacher responsibility can be more than just teaching knowledge to students. Teacher has the ability to influence and affect the development of students' thinking and even behavior. This is in fact students spend most of their time at school. By carefully observing each of them, one will slowly discover that every student have different thinking and behavior. I will try to make them confidence to themselves by help them in discovering who they are, so they will voice out and implement their own opinions. Moreover, I am willingly to accept the differences between the students, respecting each of them. So that i will gain respect from my students as well. In conclusion, a good teacher can shape his student's personality and thinking, which i would dedicate my time to be such teacher, guiding and hoping my student to be a better person.
